Blanket

Materials

You can use any size or type of thread, choose a hook that is appropriate for your yarn. I used red heart soft yarn and a hook of H/5.00 mm of I to my memory blanket.

Abbreviations:

SC-single crochet
DC-double crochet
BPTC-tailpiece treble crochet-Yarn more than 2 times, insert hook from back to front to back around the post of the point in the previous line, yarn over and pull up loop (4 loops on hook), Loops] 3 times.
FPtc-needle crochet front front curb on 2 times, insert hook from front to back to front around post of stitch in the previous row, yarn over and pull up loop (4 loops on hook), Loops] 3 times.
I use what I call Beginning dc to start each line. This is a modified and dc makes a sturdy, straight stitch at the beginning you don't crack like a chain 3.

To make a start dc:

Body of blanket:

Row 1: begin with a string in a multiple of 4, and then add 3 chains, sc on 2nd hook chain and each remaining chain (you must have an even number of points), turn.

Line 2: Starting dc, * skip 2, FPtc in next 2 stitches, crossing in front of two freshly brewed, FPtc FPtc work in two sprung points *. Repeat between * to end, dc in last stitch, turn.

Row 3: working from the back of your work, Starting dc, BPtc first 2 points, * skip 2, 2 points, crossing BPtc coming the last two BPtc made, two-point skipped BPtc *. Repeat between * and the last 3 points. BPtc work in the next two stitches, dc in last stitch, turn.

Line 4: Starting dc, * skip 2, FPtc in 2 next, crossing in front of two freshly brewed, FPtc FPtc work in two sprung points *. Repeat between * to end, dc in last stitch, turn.

Repeat rows 3 and 4 until the mantle measures the desired length, ending with the line 4.

Border:

Round 1: * 1 Chain, work 3 sc in the corner, work sc evenly across side to next corner *; Repeat between * to end, join with sl st to SC. Note: make sure that the point spread between the points of the center of the corner is divisible by 6 + 1 extra point (example: 19, 31, 37, 43, etc.)

Round 2: chain 1, sc in same stitch, [* 7dc next point (this should be the central point of the corner), * sc in next stitch, skip 2, 5dc in next stitch, skip 2 *; Repeat between * to sew before the corner, sc in point before the corner]; Repeat between [and] to end, join with slip stitch to beginning SC. Fasten off.
